What's happening in ferguson Missouri is really frustrating. If you are with the police you are labeled racist because the cop was white and the criminal was black so it has to be a form of racism. The reason for that is the media likes to make mountains out of mole hills. The media is just helping the people riot and it makes matters worse but all they want is something to report that is interesting for ratings.  In some cases people have been shot just because they wanted the white person to not be punished for self defense. The media will show the black person as a little kid and the white person full age to make it look worse on the white person to but that mind set of racism into play. In reality when they show they black mans actual picture size he is a lot bigger than the white guy and I don't know about anyone else but if I'm a police officer and a big tall guy is charging me violently I'm going to shoot that person black or white. If the person was white and the police officer was black no one would have said a word about it.

On a comet 10 years away word count: 200

The Philae is a very special remote controlled  space vehicle to make a soft landing on a comet. This thing flew over 6.4 billion miles to get to where it is now. It's journey took over ten years to get there. The lander has some problems with its battery dying. The lander did not land where it was suppose to land at and instead of the solar panels getting seven hours of light per comet day but instead it's getting only 1.5 hours of light per comet day. The lander is still trying to give as munch data as it can send. The lander has remained silent for some time now, however they are trying to fix out how to give it more light without the batteries dying in the process. One guy is tweeting stuffed it would say to remain optimistic in my opinion. They have been on this project for a long time even with the decease in photos and research they are still satisfied with the information they got from the lander.

After a Concussion when can teens return to the football field? word count:210

This article was long and it had some valid points about concussions. There were around 1,500 kids that suffered from concussions in Missouri in 2012, however most of the kids did return to the sport after two weeks. The article also talks about how dangerous it is to play with a concussion. It could do more damage to the brain because the first concussion softened the brain up and the second one (if you still have the first one), can seriously injury your brain. The doctors are trying to not send a kid back out to the field too early. If something major happens like he gets another concussion and now the kid can no longer walk then the doctor could get into trouble for it along with losing his job and having to deal with the fact he sent a kid out too early and now he cannot walk that is going to haunt him. For recent activities of concussions some parents are forbidding their kids to play football. To prevent players from returning too early some schools have computerized test that you take at the beginning of the season and if they believe you have a concussion you go and take the test again and they compare scores.

What Students Really Need to Hear word count:211

This article is about a teacher who believes that the main event of school is not to learn but to learn to deal with the harshness of life. This person also believes that we students are setting ourselves up to fail. This person believes that we are failing the main event of school. He also says that we our getting free education in some ways we are and other we our not. We have to pay for our pencils and supplies and we have to pay for our food. He also believes that most people do not work hard enough and that's why those people do not get good grades, but what if they are working hard everyday they can and still get bad grades? This person says the easy way is a form a quitting, however something's are easy for some people. I will give the person this it is respectful of him to say he will be here to help you and push you to be the best you can be. This guy is okay in some areas and other ways he is stubborn and doesn't understand that school is getting harder each year and is different from back when he was in school rules are changing often

In the future we could see something like the terminator. The reason being is computers are getting smarter to help us achieve our goal as being lazy. We are making computers smarter to help us but if they get smarter then us then they can out smart us and possibly kill us. Computer geniuses are trying to make a super computer or AI to make our life easier but what happens if they make it too smart. It could get rid of humans so we couldn't shut it off. Google is one of the companies trying to make an AI but they are trying to ensure that the AI will not try to take over the human race by making a team of computer science employees. They are used to regulate the intelligence of the AI to make sure it will obey humans all the time. There is one problem the team has to decide what is and is not moral for the computer to have. The question will remain when will robots be able to lie. This has already happened in 2009 Swiss researchers placed hundreds of robots in arenas and programmed to find a food source and they would communicate with others by using blue lights but when they found a food source they would quit communicating with other robots to hoard food for themselves.

For me poems are just too confusing. I have  only read old poems when they use “where art thou” . However, when Mr. Smith showed us the old poem mentioning something about the rapture and nature I thought poems were not so bad. The poems I loathe the most is Shakespeare. His poems are confusing and in my opinion they are stupid. I have learned about poetry from reading a poem and as a class breaking it down to better understand the context. It is not easy to learn about poetry it can be confusing and difficult to process or understand. The reason for this is grammar rules are different than normal writing a paper rules. I like certain childish poems by doctor Seuss. I like them for the main reason they are easy to understand it rhymes and you know what they are talking about all the time. Some people want a more confusing harder to understand poem and I cannot give any recommendations. I am a person who does not read poems often. I prefer poems of war and battle not of love and romance. One thing I like about poetry is how they are formatted on the paper into stanzas.

People are Causing a Mass Extinction on Earth word count:200

What do you think of mass extinction do you think of the dodo bird or the dinosaurs like a trex. There have been five devastating disasters nearly killing off all life on earth. Some extreme wildness lovers are telling us that the next extinction his coming and we are the cause of it. We have a lot of animals becoming endangered because we are growing in population and they are not. We have destroyed their habitats for a place to live, but what happened to top of the food chain. There is a reason we are driving cars and cats aren't because we are bigger and stronger and in the beginning we were not at the top of the food chain we have fought to get here. We can help though by doing something similar to what the did in New Zealand they killed rats so the Kakapo parrots survive. We could bring in endangered animals and force breeding to repopulate and then enter then into the wild. We could also just sit back and enjoy our life and say that's the next generations problem. We could possibly bring back animals that have been extinct thanks to genetics and biology.

This health thing is really a matter of the type of person you are. If you are a hard worker then you do not have to really worry about being on your feet, because you're working and you're on your feet most of the time. If you're lazy then you're going to be fat and have weak muscles. It mostly  depends on how you were raised. If you were raised to work hard than you have nothing to worry about. If you were raised with getting everything you want then you there is a good chance you won’t be ready for the real world. If the government thinks putting pedals on desk is going to help then you are wrong. The people who do not exercise enough are not going to use them anyways.  It really matters on the type of person you are and how respectful. If you want to be healthy then you have to work at it its not easy but its better in the long run. It is a life choice it is up to the person whether or not to be healthy. The government needs to stop forcing to people to get healthy the strongest of the people will survive.  

What Is Ebola and How Do People Catch It? word count:205

Ebola is a horrible disease it takes a lot of lives. The virus has so far has affected over 6,000 people in west Africa. It was discovered there and the outbreak started there. Now the virus has gotten to the United States but so far it has been contained. There have been only three Americans infected with Ebola from working in Liberia. There have been outbreaks for a long time of Ebola but this outbreak is the largest one so far. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention believes the outbreak could be 1.4 million cases by early next year. Ebola spreads from person to person but it is not contagious like the cold flu. To stop the virus the World Health Organization and the CDC have been working with the governments of the affected countries to treat the sick patients. President Obama has been criticizing the international response to the Ebola epidemic in west Africa. He says they are not trying their best to contain this epidemic and says they need to be more committed to fighting this virus before it consumes the world. He also says the United Nations needs to move faster and more countries need to contribute healthcare workers.

Is The World Going Nuts? word count:206

The world is going to crap in some places and other places it is thriving. Wars are going on places are trying to succeeded from the mainland. Like the Ukraine trying to break off from Russia. Some people want him to stay with Russia others want to break away and form their own government. Vladimir Putin is sending troops into the Ukraine. Yet the soldiers deny coming from Russia saying they are just rebels who want to stay with Russia. In all the world is bad in some place and other places are doing good like America. America is focusing on cleaner energy for the environment. China is still in the developing stages. however most places do not pollute as much as America does but thats because they are less advanced than America is. More Americans drive as much as other county. China and Russia are bigger than the U.S. but they do not have a bigger population as the U.S. in Some counties a lot of areas do not have electricity so do not complain about not having power for a couple of hours. We are very lucky to have what we do and we do not need to take it for granted.

Spinosaurus: A Huge predatory dinosaur, built to swim

The new dinosaur is called a Spinosaurus and yes it is bigger than a T-rex. Unlike the T-rex the Spinosaurus walks on all fours making him more deadly because it has claws.This animal was high up on the food change because it can swim and walk a land. It has a big range of food like fish and land animals. Now the complete image of what it looks like is still unclear because they have not found a complete skeleton, but they have used a computer program to finish the complete fossil. They believe it had a long like sail to sneak up on its prey in the water. They were one of the largest animals of its time. They are still looking into learning much more about the creature and they are still unsure where they lived at and what climates in lived in. The founder chased down the bone to the location where it was first discovered, but it was not an easy trip he did not have any names all he knew was what the guy looked like. Regardless of the odds he managed to find the man who he convinced to show him the location of the bone finds.

Crumbling Under Our Feet

The roads in the U.S. need repaired because they were not built to handle these current vehicles. The bridges and roads are falling apart under the trucks and all the traffic. Some have already fell apart causing injuries. We need the roads and bridges fixed if they are not fixed more injuries and even deaths will occur. The government needs to hire contractors to fix the roads. The roads affect how much tires and brakes wear on a vehicle so if they are not fixed people will have to keep spending money for tires and brakes. The potholes can cause people to lose control of their vehicle and wreck in some situations. We cannot let these roads stay like this they need to be repaved and bridges need to be reinforced. To prevent further wrecks and damaged car and trucks.Who was to pay around 60 bucks for a tire a piece because their roads are in bad shape? I for one do not want to buy tires more often because of potholes and poor road condition. The government does have certified people checking the roads and bridges if they fail they are shut down.

What is ISIS

ISIS is a new terrorist organization. They are Muslims trying to unite all Muslims in the middle east under one flag similar to what Hitler did. Al Qaeda is still around and there for a while they were allies until Al Qaeda deemed them to extreme and broke the alliance with ISIS. ISIS is a more extreme version of Al Qaeda. ISIS is more well funded than Al Qaeda because they robbed a bank holding 430 million dollars it was the biggest bank heist in history. They also brag about stealing U.S. military equipment. They have gotten their money from years of theft and selling oil from places they overrun. This makes them the most well funded terrorist group in the world. They target American forces and the Iraqi government. This group is becoming a factor in whether we go back to fight them or stay out of it. If we stay another group might rise up like they did. They are already targeting the U.S.A. to intimidate us. This good very well start another war we are not ready or prepared for. Only time will tell what is going to be the U.S role is going to be.

The Origins of the Border Crisis

The migrants are coming from Mexico and that area around there. Mexico’s economy has gotten better but the police has been cracking down on drug dealers and trafficking. That has caused all the violence has shifted to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. Now the kids that come to the U.S. and get caught get a hearing by law. and Obama is trying to get 3.7 billion to build housing for these migrants while waiting on their hearing.  If they stay at their home country they can be forced to traffic drugs and become a smuggler. If they refuse they are killed. In one case  a girl was threatened to be beaten to death at her home if they didn't pay the dealers “protection” money. So she left her grandparents home to be smuggled into America by a smuggler getting paid 4,500 to get her to her parents in Boston. On they way she was almost raped but they kicked that guy off. After they got to the river she was put in a tube and floated across and picked up by U.S. agents. She is currently waiting on her hearing.

Mission statement

My purpose is to be an excellent worker as a mechanic in high performance motors. I will put the maxim amount of work effort in my job. This will be done after I serve this great country of ours because I am joining the U.S. Air force to be a specialist in security.

Nigerian abductions

The abductions going on in Nigeria is a problem they need to deal with. I am all for helping them but why are we waiting so long to get involved? And how do you kidnap seven hundred girls at school and get away with it or how did no one see them getting abducted? The situation is getting bad there and more people need to get involved to help stop this.

Soon we will have another era of pirates if nothing is done they will grow and be everywhere. Everyone saying they will help have just been talking about it when there is little action taking place to prevent this from happening again. Why haven’t they listed Boko Haram as a terrorist in the U.S. until now he just did not just start he has been doing acts of terrorism for a while. Why is it that we are now paying attention to his actions? Is our government trying to make us focus on this while they do something behind our backs? What laws are about to be passed? Ask yourself before you get involved in foreign affairs.

This year has already been a lot better than last year because I have shop classes all afternoon. I get to past all the under class men in the lunch line. I get to complete both of the vehicle repair class. My morning isn't bad either I get to do all my core classes in the morning. I can drive to the high school if I want to. I turned eighteen right before school started like the day before school started. I can now buy the wacky tobacco I want but do not need.  I can get a better job now because of my age. I have not started on my portfolio.

It's not all fun and games because this is the year people decide whether they want to go to the army. What school they want to go to for college. If they want to go straight into a job or wait and save up for more schooling. You have to make a lot of big decisions during your short time of your senior year. These decisions affect your future because whatever you choose to do will decide what job career you follow for the rest of your life. So yeah its great being a senior but it has to been taken seriously to be a success.
